& Evolution :
Chetana Foundation for Children
and Aging (CFCA) a legal entity in Bhagalpur, with
the head office in Bhagalpur, has dedicatedly worked
for underprivileged communities. UNBOUND is the
resource sharing organization, which financially
supports a total of 7749 children, youth and aging,
primarily for education and health in Bihar & Jharkhand.
UNBOUND earlier
CFCA was established in 1981 by brothers
Bob, Bud
and Jim Hentzen, their sister
Nadine
Pearce
and friend Jerry Tolle. They developed the
sponsorship program to help people living in poverty
and to help form real friendships between people
from different cultures and economic circumstances.
UNBOUND’s head office is in Kansas city at U.S.A.,
the organization works with underprivileged
individuals and communities of diverse faith
traditions across 18 countries, India being one of
them. The organization invites people of goodwill to
live in daily solidarity with the world’s poor
through one-to-one sponsorship through the “Hope for
Family” program. It aims at building Communities by
fostering relationships of mutual respect,
understanding, and support that are culturally
diverse, empowering, and without prejudice.
CFCA works in the rural areas ensuring support and
aid in the form of sponsorship to poor families who
are tribes, labourers, disabled and underprivileged.
In 2010, CFCA officially
launched the HOPE FOR A FAMILY name to describe its
unique model of sponsorship. CFCA is born in the
hearts of each sponsored child, youth, elderly
person, sponsor and CFCA co-workers who joins CFCA.
CFCA has established legal entities and
representatives in the countries in which it works.
Chetana Foundation for Children and Aging ( CFCA)
has been working past few years mainly in Bhagalpur,
Banka, Sahibganj, Godda, Jamui, Giridh and Monghyr
districts of Bihar And Jharkhand. under aegis of
CFCA.
Unbound works
directly with children, families and the elderly
around the world as they confront the challenges of
poverty and work toward a better life.
Unbound celebrates 40 years of
walking with families on their paths out of poverty.
