Our Activities
The Chetana
Foundation for Children and Aging (
CFCA)
reach out to to the deprived children and hapless
aging at remote hamlets helping them to restore
their dignity with proper education, nutrition,
medical needs, family assistance, talent enrichment
programs, community development and livelihood
activities. CFCA has championed the cause of
backwardness at rural villages and has initiated
Self Help Groups which is formed by the Sponsored
Children's Mother (SCMG) for the welfare of
disadvantaged children and families. The Chetana
Foundation supports them with matching grant and
empowers them with leadership qualities, health
awareness, income generation activities, livelihood
programs etc. We have bank accounts for every
sponsored child. The sponsored families are the
agent to run this program and so they utilize the
funs by themselves at the best interest of the
child. This fund is solely for education and
nutritional needs of the children.
CFCA is for the
welfare of children and welfare of families through
education and livelihood activities. The families
are given higher responsibility to improve their
economical conditions. Besides welfare activities CFCA conducts a chain of trainings for children and
parent on empowerment, capacity building,
sustainability, goal orientation, economic self
sufficiency, mutual accountability and support,
decentralized decision making, culture of learning,
etc, to boost their self confidence and aim
high for better living in the society.
Individual
outreach is one of the priorities of the trust.
The social workers at subunits monitor the group
activities and facilitate their active participation
in the program. We encourage the social workers to
take care of the sponsored families, visiting them
personally, and learn more about their development.
The Social workers make sure the children are in
school and get proper education.
